  • Overview

    Responsible for materials handling and maintenance of the facility.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain cGMP facilities and equipment
    • Order supplies
    • Coordinate material receipt and shipments
    • Issue materials from cGMP inventory
    • Prepare samples and documentation for shipment to contractors
    • Dispose of waste in accordance with regulations and safety procedures
    • Assist in cGMP production work as needed
    • Provide assistance in maintaining company facilities
    • Liaison with vendors as required
    • Provide general and clerical support

    Job Requirements:

    • Safety minded in performance of duties
    • Ability to work in accordance with written procedures
    • Effectively communicates with Supervisor and team members
    • Quality minded with ability to perform work with accuracy and in accordance with established procedures
    • Organized and able to perform duties in a timely manner
    • Must be able to accurately count large quantities of discrete units.
    • Customer service oriented

    Physical Requirements:

    • Vision must be suitable for performing detailed operations
    • May be required to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Must have sufficient manual dexterity to perform cGMP production in a manner to provide precise and accurate results and work in a safe manner
    • May be required to stand for long periods of time
    • Individual is required to wear and use appropriate protective equipment
    • Must be able to work with standard laboratory chemicals under normal safety precautions

    Must be able to work with computers and general processing equipment

    Qualifications

    Level IV: 

    • High School Diploma or GED with at least six to eight years warehouse and/or facilities experience
    • cGMP experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry; experience with computerized inventory systems and database management
    • Training and certification in specialized warehouse or facilities functions
    • Some supervisory experience may be preferred.
