The Director, Commercial Business Insights will be responsible for collaborating across multiple functions within the Commercial business in support of the Salix Pharmaceuticals Sales & Marketing teams to leverage data and analytics to drive strategic and executional excellence across the Salix portfolio of brands. A premium will be placed on strategic thinking, business acumen, and analytical ability. This role will reside within the Commercial Insights & Analytics function and partner closely with Targeting, Call Planning, Incentive Compensation, Advanced Analytics, Market Research, Forecasting, Market Access, and Information Management. This person must be comfortable in operating in a fast paced “start-up” type environment. This role will serve as the strategic integration point between Commercial Analytics functions and Salix Sales & Marketing especially the General Manager, VP of Sales, VP of Marketing, Brand Directors and Regional Sales Directors. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Commercial Insights & Analytics.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, inform, negotiate and collaborate. This candidate will also have demonstrated initiative, creativity, and ability to work in complex, rapidly changing & ambiguous environment. A proven self-starter with strong hands-on orientation, this candidate will have demonstrated the ability to manage, lead, inspire and develop direct reports.
