  • Overview

    This position will provide leadership and direction for US and Canadian Solta Medical business and will be responsible for driving the short and long-term growth strategy for a $40 million portfolio of medical device aesthetics business.  The growth potential is in excess of $40-$50 million over the next 3 years.  This position will have oversight over Sales, Marketing, US Operations and Customer Service and will also liaise closely with the corporate functions of Legal, Finance, IT and Human Resources in support of the fiscal management and strategic planning of the unit. Where required, this role may also collaborate with Solta’s global operations in support of the organization’s overall objectives. The position reports to the Global Director, Solta Medical.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic and tactical leadership to the US and Canadian business while partnering with internal and external constituents to achieve organization objectives.
    • Identify business strategies to drive long term P&L gains.
    • Deliver a hands on and involved approach to management of organization.
    • Work closely with executive management to understand and drive priorities as directed to ensure that business needs and objectives are met on an ongoing basis.
    • Manage and direct the organization in design, development, implementation and support of all business projects.
    • Actively engage with KOL community, customers to address short and long term needs.
    • Act as a senior-level leader to both staff and experienced management.
    • Work as a partner with department heads to understand business challenges and identify ways to improve business operations and advance performance.
    • Carry out executive responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
    • Ensure the overall integrity of the development, support and functionality of the unit’s products and services.
    • Provide coaching and assistance to direct and indirect reports in the areas of hiring, training, disciplinary action, problem resolution, and work assignment delegation
    • Prepare reports and presentations for Executive Management on forecasts, projects, performance and related matters.
    • Create a culture that fosters teamwork, creativity, a spirit of service and corporate responsibility, and high standards of ethics.
    • Must be able to instill mutual trust and confidence.

    Qualifications

    • Experience independently leading a large healthcare division’s P&L and growth.
    • 10 or more years of demonstrated experience in healthcare industry/ product development experience preferred.
    • 5 or more years in senior management role in the healthcare industry.
    • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree or advanced degree preferred.
    • Strong understanding of the product development process and lifecycle required.
    • Proven ability to improve and grow a large business segment.
    • Proven ability to operate independently while developing solutions efficiently.
    • Proven experience delivering exceptional results under limited resources.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
    • This position will require extensive travel both domestically.
