Responsible for the sales of Bausch + Lomb’s portfolio of soft contact lenses and cleaning solutions, while building and maintaining excellent customer relationships to support solid business growth. Implement a consultative selling style that can operate independently. Professional, credible and comfortable dealing with optometrists, contact lens opticians, retail store managers and store staff. Via phone, email and on-line WebEx conferencing, with occasional field visits. Working with accounts with a low Bausch + Lomb share and high potential. Maximize results through a combination of new business development and servicing existing customers achieving sales targets and personal performance objectives.
B+L’s Vision Care Division seeks a sales professional with experience in over the phone selling. The individual should have demonstrable experience in defining and achieving sales results. Enviable track record of achievement (target achievements) gained from organizations that demonstrate and require strong interpersonal skills in order to influence over the phone. An understanding of investigative questioning and sales process, and is able to work successfully alone as well as within a team to pre-determined objectives. Works well under pressure, self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and organize effectively. Excellent inter-personal skills enhanced listening skills and a personable approach to customers and colleagues with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must possess the ability to adapt to a changing work environment; various situations, individuals and/or groups on a daily basis. Ability to make presentations to various sized customer groups within WebEx on-line conferencing. Self-motivated, able to work successfully alone or within a team with exceptional planning and organization skills and the ability to prioritize effectively. Computer literacy including Email, Excel, Word and PowerPoint essential.
Office based role at Valeant Headquarters in Bridgewater New Jersey
Ability to travel approximately 10-15% of the time, including overnight stays to key Eye Care Practitioners to anywhere in the country.
Bachelor’s degree required
Prior sales experience preferable (1-3 years), business majors or sales related degrees preferred. Recent experience within a customer facing role would be ideal.
The iVTM role has a dual career path option; progression through inside sales levels, with the opportunity to explore and pursue marketing, sales operations and other HQ based roles, or pursue placement in a field based Vision Care Territory Manager position.
Field-based opportunities will be available following evaluations from Sales Leadership, and no guarantees can be made based on geography of the territory or timing. However, geographic preferences will be considered.
While at headquarters as an iVTM, individuals will be given opportunities to interact with many groups within the business, including customer marketing, brand, sales operations, professional strategy, customer service and analytics. These experiences will come in the way of formal meetings and mentorship opportunities. iVTM’s will also have the opportunity to ride along with field-based VTM’s, take part in ECP shadowing opportunities, and stay in regular contact with sales trainers. These face-to-face interactions/experiences are an invaluable way to become a well-rounded sales consultant. Utilizing these opportunities to their fullest, as well as performing at a high level will be key indicators for progressing through the company into different roles (including the VTM role).
iVTMs will participate in all training and development opportunities as field based peers to ensure skill and strategic alignment.
