Responsible for training all employees in the areas of picking, packing, shipping of domestic and international order processes in accordance with all related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Train all revisions to SOPs of related tasks as necessary. Additionally, responsibility could include training employees, could include training employees in the areas of replenishment, receiving, and put-away of product in accordance with SOPs as needed. This position will be required to periodically attend a Train-the-Trainer course. Employee must work all assigned hours and may also be required to perform other duties as directed.
Coordinate withe shift Supervisor or Group Leader a training schedule for all trainees and conduct on-the-job training according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in all areas in which considered SME.
Communicate progress with the Supervisor on all trainees.
Equip trainee with the necessary equipment/supplies to perform the task and demonstrate their proper use.
Evaluate the trainee and ensure the trainee is competent to perform job tasks according to SOPs and within all safety guidelines.
Document on the job training on appropriate form; ensure associated electronic training has been completed.
Ensure all individuals within the department complete electronic training in a timely manner.
Maintain personal training up to date and compliant with all site and Quality requirements specific to the job.
Additional responsibilities could include the following distribution activities:
Order fulfillment (picking, packing, manifesting).
Inventory Maintenance (check-in, put-away, replenishment, cycle count, fit set cabinet assembly).
Customer Service Support.
Must meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
Order supplies as necessary.
Work area cleaning. Clean assigned work area on a daily basis including sweeping, dusting, trash/box disposal, general straightening, etc.

Scope of Position: Training duties are limited to vision care distribution job functions.
Key Relationships: Successful work relationships include cross-functional/department peers, site Quality, Inventory Control and Management. Occasional relationships with B+L Customer Service, Planning, Returns Processing and MRO Suppliers are also required.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Six months as a Distribution Associate. Basic PC knowledge, WMS experience and familiarization with RF Technology and supply chain operations. Desire continuous improvement concept and team building skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Forklift experience a plus. Complete the appropriate Qualified Trainer Program. Maintain a level of competency for the content being qualified to train. Maintain on-time training completions in the Learning Management System. Meet Trainer re-qualification criteria.
