Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading and planning convention programs and exhibits including all logistics, budget management, consulting with customers to determine objectives and coordination across multiple Departments and Divisions.
  • Drive and collaborate strategy and planning of exhibits shared between multiple divisions to ensure priority to product launches and in plan tactics/promotion.   
  • Responsible to guarantee all planned convention activities and materials meet relevant compliance and regulatory guidelines including those of Valeant Compliance and Legal, PRC, OPDP, PhRMA Code, AdvaMed, EUCAMED, OIG, Sunshine Act and Medical Associations).    
  • Drive development of convention show marketing strategies and convention yearly schedule. Includes product launches at conventions and convention schedule as well as compliant sponsorships/advertising and ancillary functions.
  • Process convention logistics including housing, attendance, registration, graphics, staffing, ancillary literature, Sunshine Reporting, planning of onsite pre-convention meetings. Create and obtain PRC approval of final exhibit plans/renderings. 
  • Responsible to track and maintain current, compliant graphics, digital assets and exhibitry including tabletop displays.
  • Responsible for Tier 3 Convention Program including compliant materials, plan, training and approvals through our 3rd party vendor as well as budget management.  
  • Travel to National and some Regional Conventions to manage logistics onsite (exhibit, Pre-con Meetings, housing, ancillary meetings, etc.)
  • Create convention show budgets, drive cost savings/efficiencies, review bills for accuracy, process payments and ensure spending does not exceed budgetary allowances.  Report spend monthly and follow accrual policies.
  • Manage vendors to ensure compliance and costs savings and recommend best practices to drive operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in pharmaceutical convention/exhibit planning with at least 2 years current Rx/Pharma experience.Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  • Strong working knowledge of pharmaceutical/healthcare guidelines that impact promotional activities including PhRMA Code, AdvaMed, OIG, Sunshine Act, etc)
  • CTSM or other recognized certification/degree in convention management is desirable.
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and creation of planning timelines. . 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and project management skills and follow through while coordinating multiple projects and teams.
  • Experience with submitting and gaining approvals of convention materials through Promotional Review Committee (PRC) including renderings. Working knowledge of Zinc Maps or Veeva systems desirable.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced, changing environment and able to easily shift priorities.
  • Skilled in using  MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional (add comments/notes).

 

Job Travel Requirements: Domestic   25%
