Overview

In this position, the Senior Manager, Audit and Data Management will be responsible for complete business ownership of the audit management of payer, wholesaler, and distributor contracts for the achievement of identifying non-compliance of contract requirements and potential overpayments to these entities. Also, this position will interface with Contract Operations to ensure the data quality of submitted invoice data for the use in contract analytics.  

Responsibilities

  • Perform audit planning considering the control risk, audit scope and objectives and time parameters established. Develop audit plan for 6 audits in 2018.
  • Identify 3rd party audit partner to perform audits with these entities.
  • Lead the team in the preparation of the audit. Activities include reviewing previous audit reports and work papers, company files, technical research sources, financial reports and audit approaches to ensure a thorough familiarity with the audit areas assigned and determine the audit approach to be used.
  • Meet with department and/or Company management responsible for the area under review to discuss the audit scope and coordination requirements.
  • Review recommendations with the 3rd party audit partner and internal customers throughout the audit process.
  • Participate in formal interim and final meetings to discuss and finalize findings and recommendations.
  • Actively participate in presentations at various internal senior level meetings.
  • Collaborate with the audited entities to develop a corrective action plan if potential risks and/or gaps are identified. In addition, monitor the status of the corrective action plans to ensure that the plan was executed within the established time frame.
  • Liaise with GTN and Contract Operations teams to monitor submitted invoice data integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting, with relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry or Independent Auditing

Experience: 

 

  • Proven track record of success
  • Extensive knowledge of the US healthcare marketplace and healthcare delivery system
  • Thorough experience in auditing or inspecting regulated healthcare sectors
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve in a manner that demonstrates both strategic and tactical thinking
  • Ability to multi-task while managing numerous deadlines
