Job Overview:

The Valeant IT Team is looking for an IT Manager for Digital Marketing Operations who will serve as the go to person for all Digital needs and execution of projects and initiatives related to marketing operations, digital marketing, analytics, customer engagement and social media across diverse brands and corporate entities.

This role will lead the internal team and development partners to develop reports (monthly, quarterly and yearly), insights and actionable recommendations on all digital marketing platforms, including all internal/external websites, email, mobile apps, social media, and SEO. Scope includes consolidated digital performance, overall site traffic and behavior, regional marketing analysis, usability, sources of web traffic, online sales, organic/paid traffic performance, email, social media, SEO and digital marketing ROI.

The role will liaise with company Valeant brand managers, Valeant Web Solutions Team, and creative agency partners.

Responsibilities

Specific activities include:

  • Manage delivery of mobile apps and all web application platforms (SharePoint, Websites (CMS), Marketing automation, analytics and custom web solutions) projects and operational support
  • Liaise with Marketing, Sales and Product development teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Manage end-to-end digital projects with marketing agencies and IT development partners utilizing corporate SDLC process across Valeant brands and portfolio companies
  • Suggest and implement direct marketing methods to increase profitability
  • Review digital media campaigns, coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs, press releases and podcasts) to boost brand awareness
  • Stay up-to-date with digital media developments, marketing tools and pharmaceutical industry practices
  • Monitor ROI and KPIs for websites, SEO, email marketing efforts, and social media
  • Utilize website analytics to understand how customers are engaging with ads and brand websites
  • Boosting digital marketing adoption and developing/reinforcing new expertise/best practice sharing to support brand teams in the management of their digital marketing projects
  • Work with internal development team and creative agency partners to create intranet/internet websites, web solutions, email campaigns, banners ads, and social media content development
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing to define reporting requirements for campaigns and outreach efforts and report results, if applicable
  • Work closely with development partners to ensure analytics tagging and implementation supports business needs
  • Will become the Process owner for the Digital SDLC methodology. Review/update and train internal team, development partners and marketing agencies on processes and best practices
  • Build, review, and approve development and Quality standards used by Operations and Project team.
  • Create and execute RFP’s per business requirement
  • Evaluate different platforms and solutions per Sales and Marketing team needs from IT perspective
  • Review and recommend IT solutions per Sales and Marketing team needs

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ of experience in Digital Marketing capacity for an agency or company
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, IT or a quantitative field
  • Familiarity with web design and content management systems
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of SEO and web protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies
  • Highly proficient with Marketo, Exact Target or similar digital marketing platform
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Omniture, Web Trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently
  • Working knowledge of Pharmaceuticals controls (GxP, SOX, and HIPAA etc.)
  • Review and edit existing promotional materials for marketing effectiveness, cross-selling implications and adherence to guidelines
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure components and their functionality
  • Negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry, med-legal reviews, FDA OPDP submissions
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft stack applications and its architecture
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs
  • Experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo, and Bing
