Responsibilities

The Key Account Manager will report to the Regional Sales Manager for Key Accounts in their assigned region.  The KAM will be responsible for maximizing sales of Valeant products by enhancing the partnerships between  Valeant and key institutions in their assigned geographies.  This segment is primarily comprised of Medical offices and hospitals.  The KAM will have accountability to build clinical support for the Valeant portfolio of products, pull through  and improve formulary access, proctor procedures when necessary and facilitate specialty specific opportunities with key decision makers to ensure achievement of Valeant business goals.

Qualifications

We seek a candidate with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of three or more years of progressively responsible sales and/or marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry.  Gastroenterology, dermatology, device and hospital experience is preferred.  The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational and workload planning skills along with excellent communication and presentation skills.  Candidates should also possess broad healthcare market business acumen and industry knowledge.  The KAM should have a travel expectation of 50% and will be required to reside within their assigned geography.

 

You may be required to provide hospitals proof of immunizations, a negative TB test and other requirements, as set by the hospital protocol for access.
