  • Overview

    The IT Lead Analyst – ETL/Data will be a member of the Valeant IT Commercial Operations team supporting Data and ETL based processes related to Healthcare Practitioner (HCP), Healthcare Organization (HCO), Field Sales Hierarchy, Roster, and other types of Master Data. This role demands a high degree of pharmaceutical domain knowledge in the commercial area.

    Activities include: develop and maintain current and future state business architecture, business process design, data analysis & requirements, design and configuration specifications, test case development, production implementation and support.

    Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Technology Architecture

    • Design & oversee implementation of relational databases
    • Design & oversee implementation of ETL processes related to pharmaceutical commercial operations.
    • Deliver architectural initiatives for the quarterly Call Plan process
    • Deliver architectural initiatives to support daily operations and integrations with vendor data providers
    • Maintain an in depth knowledge of the organizations technologies and architecture
    • Develop, communicate, and deploy Enterprise Architecture processes.
    • Prepare solution design specifications employing use case documents, diagrams and screen mockups as required.
    • Develop test plans and test cases and support the business in its execution of user acceptance testing activities.
    • Function as subject matter expert on architecture techniques and supervise the creation of detailed specifications for the business

    Data Architecture

    • Understand Valeant’s Call Plan data flows and daily/weekly processes
    • Develop best practices for managing data.
    • Identify data risks and propose alternative solutions to data management
    • Knowledge of ETL Processes, Data Mapping, Data Quality, Data Integration

    Project Management

    • Work directly with the project manager for development of the project plan and needs
    • Provide Architectural direction to Enterprise Architects, Business Architects and Solution Architects.
    • Responsible for the project when the project manager is not available.
    • Support the project throughout the life cycle of the project.
    • Work directly with Onshore and Offshore Architects, Developers and QA testers.

    Qualifications

    Desired Experience

    • B.S. - Computer Science or Information Systems related degree
    • 6+ years supporting CRM applications
    • 5+ years pharmaceutical industry experience
    • 2+ years supporting Call Plan processes in a Pharmaceutical environment
    • 4+ years supporting data integration to and from Salesforce.com/Veeva.
